Make Money On The Internet-The Good And The Bad

If you try to make money online long enough you will understand there are good parts to working on the Internet making money and there are bad things as well. If you are new to Internet marketing and making money online you will figure this stuff out on your own.

However before you get to that point let me warn you about a few things I have learned.

1. Building a mailing list for future follow up is very important. It is probably the easiest way to make money online once you have your quality list going. The downside to it is it can be very painful to try and get one new subscriber at a time.

If you can afford it definitely look into purchasing co-registration leads to jump start your list building efforts. Also try to get people to help you by using viral marketing whenever possible.

2. There is a very high failure rate in affiliate marketing. This is surprising because there are so many good affiliate programs you can join.

The problem is most people do not take it seriously. If you treat your affiliate marketing efforts as though you’re running a real online business you can make a lot of money doing it.

Learn a few basic skills such as niches to target, how to start your own blog, how to create a lead capture page, and so on. You definetly can make a lot of money in affiliate marketing if you learn how to do it.

3. Paid marketing is an important part of becoming more successful on the Internet. It’s difficult to get enough quality traffic early in your career if you do strictly free or nearly free methods.

For example article marketing is great, but it takes a long time to get the articles in the marketplace and traffic coming in. Pay per click advertising is very quick because you can be on page 1 of a large search engine in a day.

You can also be getting traffic very quickly, but you must monitor how much are spending for that traffic. Believe it or not very few pay per click advertising campaigns are actually profitable.

4. Search engines are putting more emphasis on large content sites therefore you need to start a blog and begin adding a lot of content to it. There are many good systems for this including the popular new free traffic system.

Creating your own content is a good idea, but so is receiving content feeds from quality sources. The more content you can put into your blog the better off you will be in pleasing the search engines.
